About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our Accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Ensure timely billing and collection of receivables, and accurate payment of invoices.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and provide analysis and insights to management.
Tax Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Prepare and file tax returns and other statutory reports.
Audit and Compliance:
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Requirements
Certified Public Accountants (CPAs)
With atleast 2 years of experience in Accounting
Computer literate: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Certificate of Employement from previous employer
